In 2024, that vision took on a bold new dimension with the launch of Christie Brown Eyewear—a project that combined African luxury fashion with innovative eyewear design.

From Idea to Iconic Accessory

For years, we’ve worked closely with Christie Brown, helping the brand refine its strategy, extend its product categories, and reach new audiences. Eyewear was an opportunity we couldn’t overlook—a natural extension of the brand’s bold, expressive design language.

Partnering with Yuma Labs, known for their expertise in sustainable and high-quality eyewear manufacturing, we set out to create a collection that would marry Christie Brown’s aesthetic with technical precision and global craftsmanship.

The Collaboration

As technical partner, Yuma Labs oversaw the complex process of translating Christie Brown’s creative vision into functional, wearable art.

“It’s been a real pleasure working with you and the team,” said Sebastiaan De Neubourg, President of Yuma Labs. “We were the technical partner—handling production calls, coordinating with the factory, and figuring out how to bring the designs to life. It was about finding the balance between sustainability, style, and functionality.”

The result? Two unique eyewear styles—sunglasses that embody sustainability, style, and soul—crafted to inspire and designed for a global audience.

A First for Yuma Labs

This collaboration marks a milestone: Christie Brown is the very first African brand Yuma Labs has partnered with.

“Being in Belgium, we learned so much from your team,” Sebastiaan added. “Your mindset and positivity are contagious.”
